The difference between the two is that accident is an incident and Incident is not an accident. Any event is called incident and if you break down the incident you may categorize it as Accident, Property damage, Near Miss and Reputation Impact.

What is the difference between Incidents and accidents?

 

Incident – An unwanted event which, in different circumstances, could have resulted in harm to people, damage to property or loss to a process. Also known as a near miss. 

 

Accident – An unplanned event that results in harm to people, damage to property or loss to process. 

 

Otherwise your question is unclear and the only difference is one is singular and the other is plural events!

Incident is an unexpected event which can and have possibility to couse lost hours of work, Near Misses, accidents (like as personnel injury light or seriouse or death, also property damage)!

Accident is an already an Incident to which already followed personnel injury light or seriouse or death, Near Miss, property damage and it also may include lost hours of work!
