What is the impact of high water absorption of aggregates on cement concrete OR in asphalt concrete. Shall high water absorbed aggregate be used?

The maximum water absorption percentage allowed in aggregates for Asphalt mixes is 2.00%. Therefore, if water absorption is more then, the aggregates will be porous in nature and porous aggregates are weak.
