if we use multi vendor device then OSPF is most reliable protocol. BGP is reliable for connecting two different autonomous system

It depends on Devices we are using. IF we use Cisco device then mo reliable protocol is EIGRP .
But if we use multi vendor device then OSPF is most reliable protocol. BGP is reliable for connecting two different autonomous system but for this we need IGP as mediator protocol to establsih BGP neibhorship.
IGRP was in use until EIGRP did not introduced.
We have different protocols and there is a lot of difference in the way these protocols work. It also depends on environment and we need different environments to use different protocols. But if you are looking for reliable protocol I would say that EIGRP is best, there are number of reasons for that for example EIGRP is 100 % loop free, Fast, less convergence time and I believe the only protocol while is very much easy to manage.
