To build Pareto Chart using Excell Do the following

  1. Set up your data. ...
  2. Sort your data from largest to smallest amount. ...
  3. Use the SUM() function to add your Amount range. ...
  4. Create a Cumulative Amount column. ...
  5. To automatically fill the rest of the column, double click the Autofill Handle.
  6. Next, create a Cumulative Percent column.

 

Pareto Chart is very significant tool for Quality Managment as it derives you to solve 80% of the problems which is always due to 20 % of the causes. but using it depends on the type of buisiness you are woeking in and how you categorize your data.
