First of all, a talkative customer is a custumer that usually needs a warm greeting; however, since it leads to a business relationship, being too friendly can work the opposite way.

Allowing the customer to speak while you listen carefully is very important; the talkative person has things to say and in the majority of cases he/she wants someone to listen.

From what the customer says, keeping some key points he/she mentioned with enthusiasm is also important; he/she will be gladly suprised to see that you paid attention to his/her needs.

Adressing those key points needs great care, since you want to cover his/her needs without saying too much; a talkative person prefers talking that being talked to.

Avoid overpromising. Instead, try to augment some of the aspects of your product in order to make it more desirable, by using yourself key points that could make it stand out from the competition in the enthusiast's ear.

Finally, after the the welcoming meeting, try and take follow-up actions that remain within the balance of professionalism and friendly atmosphere, since a talkative person likes to see that his/her talking was actually heard by the listener.

I hope this helps a little.

Thank you Sir for your invite for this difficult and interesting question.

The talkative person is very unpredictable and very beneficial at same time. If your product or service is really good, they can be the best promoters with no cost. But if vice versa, then you better understand and unfortunately if they use social media then you will get a good experience. So always welcome talkative client and give them best service, treat them in a good way offer them a coffee or tea and do talk about your product. Get their opinion in between to engage them and offer them some giveaway when they are leaving. And be SURE that you hired a salesman with no cost for your company.
