Ofcorse managing people from different generations of cultures needs deffernt approaches depending on their background in order to get the best from every one
I totally agree on giving different approaches to different generations but still the SOP, Values and Company rules must be obeyed and implemented.
Each Generation has different attitudes , behaviours , expectations , Goals . Therefore times at times different approaches are required.
Generations do not make any different if we are following one SOP (Standerd Operation Procedure) to complete the given task. But while managing the team first we should try to understand their background, idea and efficiency of work in the team and dealing and emplimentation should be accordingly.
Yes I do agree that different approach is needed for managing people from different generations as each individual has a different composure depending upon their back ground and mindset but it is also important to maintain protocol in place.
Generations do make a difference in the work pattern and outcome, so we do need to approach differently based on the generations, age and maturity level. No matter how matured the Gen X or Y be, they would always have different perspectives and ideas for growth, so , when dealing with Gens we need to take special care of the perspective, motivations and requirements for managing them.
Managing people/team requires understanding of maturity level of the people/team members. Generations has nothing to do with it.
Its depend on how you deal and accept the challenges Ofcorse managing people from different generations of cultures needs deffernt approaches.
Agreed completely because different generations have different mindstets, style and thinking. So different approaches are required to manage them.
