i want to design one way slab........ how i can design
length and breadth are same measurement design two way slab according to total load bearing
We can use both limit state and working load method for designing onewayslab.In one way slab the length to width ratio would be greater than2.Thus we would provide main rods in width side and distribution rods in the length side.This is the structural information but we should consider the following conditions while designing
1. Fix the depth of the slab by the information provided in IS456 that is sapn/25 in case of fixed support
2.. The max load/m that would be distributed along the width side and thus calculate the bending moment with the effective span along the width
3. After getting the B.M. we could calculate the area of steel required per meter and the spacing to be provided
4. Give the area of steel for distribution rod and find the spacing
good.............
