In a society where humans are becoming increasingly selfish, lacking empathy and blind to the suffering of others what do you or could you incorporate into your or your workplace daily routine to encourage a return of humility?

"Nothing to do such as a miracle to change others' behaviour  , just if you able to keep your empathy and humanity yourself you would win and step over."

I think that, you must be confident  first but humble and being who you are is attractive to others in the sense that you have a natural presence that engages you with others and appeals to others at a deeper emotional level. You can built upon a real understanding and acceptance of other’s uniqueness behaviour , inefficient self-concept , incomprehension personality…etc that means  we all are humans might lack sympathy , have many weaknesses , so ‘you do not need to pretend to be someone else.’ Just be the person you are in real. Moreover, , in all situations, you must demonstrate  consistent behavior as such “a clear and established values and belief system which help you  to smooth other's irrational swings of behavior.”

The following might help you to survive humanity and adopting with others in all circumstances at workplace:

1-Adaptability and Learning Orientation 

To be comfortable with others humanity disorders you must knowing and living with paradoxes to mature your emotional intelligence. This means you must have a willingness to listen and learn even from the mostly unlikely sources or people. So “Don't become judgmental and evaluative rather than inquisitive. Also you might need to connect what you   are experiencing and connect it to what you know to  overcome a personal blind spot and fail to learn. 

2-Thinking relationally! 

You might need a major shift to grow up your thinking as independent of instead of interdependent with other people. Try to view yourself in relation to others because those whose perspective of success relies on others’ success are becoming a stronger force than perhaps many realize. 

2-Purpose and Focus 

At workplace you should have  a guiding purpose that enables you to focus your energy and activity rather than care whatever people are. The question is: “Where do you need to focus your attention and energy and therefore what are distractions to be avoided?”

First of all i strongly agree with the statement added by Mrs. Ghada "Nothing to do such as a miracle to change others' behavior" , and i would like to add in my opinion to face this situation and what world has reached , i treating people and especially those who has no ethics, lack of empathy by ethics and polite to learn them how treat others , actually i learned to meet & treat the abuse by  kindliness & benevolence

The most important lesson to gift your enemy is to give him an assistance and a gentile smile.....

It is very important that in the workplace that employers show humility and therefore lead by example. One of the ways I believe can work is where office staff can come together 15 mins before the actual work starts. Managers/Supervisors. If there 5 juniors each junior is responsible for a morning of motivation, enlightening and positive discourse. It can have a religious tone as well as real life experiences. When employees learn about who each other is it makes for better communication and understanding. Then humility comes out as we appreciate one another.  

Humanity denotes with people's relations in good way; for what something is doing good is righteousness. giving a LITTLE hand to anyone in your daily life is a BIG help for them. Furthermore, by SMILING to Any ''Human Race'' in  your daily routine HUMANITY was there as well. Don't  take risk for progress by means of using others hence, take risk of Helping others.

empathy comes from understanding. and one one way where designers use empathy is to follow those who they wish to study and live their life for a day (or an hour). I say designers but this tool is what was taken from them and planted into Design Thinking methodology and tools that is used in it are the ones taken from designers tool box.

so how can you do it in the workplace?

 

Invite salespeople to an hour of work with develpers, or marketers or manufacuter teams, or even service providers. how do they manage their own problems? what are they? what do they do? reciprocate the experience for all.

 

What about asking all team members to share a snap picture of the first thing they see on their dest/computer when they start? that could be a snap of all the emails they have to start with, the list of unfinished tasks or the amount of paperwork they have to go through before noon? sharing a simple picutre can give a load of information to others and create a sort of understanding of people's struggles, without the need to complain or explain in full what they have to go through. people feel. they respond. and they become kinder to each other.

Empathy is the capacity to understand  or feel what another beings is experiencing from within the other being's frame of reference, i.e.,the capacity to place oneself since empathy involves understanding the emotional stats of other people,.....

A  daily scrum and problem understanding/inputs gathering session for 10 min at least, if you take 10 min of your's for team they will surely give you their complete day for working.

I believe that your decision should not affect both people and organisation in which you are working, being team player is much better rather than and individual.
