Basicly it depends on your career:Automation: you have to have a knowledge about SCADA-PLC-CLASSIC CONTROL ...if Distribution and Construction: REVIT - AUTOCAD ....

Hi,depends on what you want to emphasize on. If you're going into analog design, then basic circuits, thevenin equivalents, transistor theory, and whatnot. If you're going into communications, then calculus and/or e and m and probably fourier transforms. if you're going into digital, then state machines, processors, and software. If you're going into power, well, then power.
As an example, if you are doing applied electromagnetics, a transmission line theory may be the most important.For EM propagation and antennas, it may be EM theory.For signal processing, it may be DSP.For digital, it may be a computer architecture course.For circuits, it may be an integrated circuits course.For microelectronics, it may be a device physics course.Etc, etc, etc...Despite saying that you want an answer other than math, a strong knowledge of Fourier and Laplace transforms is probably the most important thing you can study if you want something broad reaching.
Well it depends in which direction you want to grow your career. You are already experienced in design so a course in of design will help but to reach at top positions in any organization you need to be strong in management so i'll suggest to go for some engineering management and project management short courses. That will definitely boost your career.

now in a days automation and power is the major fields so i think if someone have to hold on these is a succesful engineer and uae is a school for engineers where engineers can make there goals
