An excellent finance manager will also be able to do industry analysis and bench-marking to determine if the prices set by the company for its product are reasonable based on its market target (low cost leader, quality differentiation, etc.).
Additionally the finance manager should ensure that all financial reporting is done, so that the business is never penalized for late reporting.
