What are the basics needs for an Electrical Engineer (power and communications) who has to know about field works?

I think that  Classic Control + AutoCad +Electric machinery

I beleive that all the basic needs are included in the academic courses, and they are completed with the trainings.

Depending on the project, you need to have a very good knowledge of all the relevant drawings and  technical specifications. Also the relevant standards should be handy for ready reference and answer any question which may come from any corner, may be contractor, may be client or may be your own sub ordinate.There are other lots of construction data which is used in the field for which you should have enough knowledge.

in here NECEES they list the skill required too e known for the person entering their exam. These skill are exppect with 4 years experience
