Being an Electrical (Electronics) Engineer, should one prefer pure PLC based job or it is good to switch towards networking?

Actually, it depends on you. You can switch to networking also because it is kinda related. All you have to do is to somewhat develop your networking skills like going to training school. 

It depends on you but working as electrical engineer opens you lots of opportunities in other countries.There are a lot of international companies that need electrical engineers, also most of them are willing to employ people form other countries, and most of them operate on international level that offers you additional options of traveling while working. Besides, you are usually getting payed well for it!

Electrical and electronic components are modified, invented and reinvented every day, so you will never be bored because you are using same process or component for the last 10-15 years. New and exciting stuff is available all the time and you will have lots of fun testing an assembling it.
