Is wordpress less secure than drupal.I want to start a portal with wordpress but someone advised me to prefer drupal for better security?

I personally prefer WordPress, as providing you keep up-to-date with version updates, then security won't be an issue. You may have been advised towards drupal, as less people attack such sites, as there is more demand/experience on hacking WordPress sites.
