First aid requirements will vary from one workplace to the next, depending on the nature of the work, the type of hazards, the workplace size and location, as well as the number of people at the workplace. These factors must be taken into account when deciding what first aid arrangements need to be provided.

for starters you need  a safe area or a bunker to attend to emergencies and equipments like a toniquet, pain killers, stretcher, e.t.c

The HSE regulation  require all construction sites to have a first box with enough equipment to cope with the number of workers on site, an appointed person to take charge and highlight the person name in site board office and where to find him.

Low hazard

Less than 25=1 appointed person

25 to 50 = 1 first aider trained  

More than 50 = 1 first aider trained per 100 employed (or part thereof)

 

 Higher hazard

Less than 5= 1 appointed person

5 to 50= 1 first aider trained

 

More than 50= 1 first aider trained in First aid at work for every 50 employed (or part thereof)

It depends upon what type of work environment are you working and state laws, but it is common sense  to have a first aid kit and a first aider. In Saudi Arabia, they followed the Ministerial Decision 404 and Saudi Arabia Labor Regulation Article 134.

The nature of requirements depends on the envrioment that you are working in. For certain sites a simple first aid kit would be ok. For others sites First aid kit and an AED may be needed.
