Shared Printer is the one which is installed in a PC then shared through network, usually make the print running only when system where printer installed is running. If the system switched off or went to sleep. No one in network can print.

Network printer is the one which is connected to Switch through LAN cable. The print will be working whoever have the printer driver installed. Network printer not dependent to any PC in LAN
