Fire Safety can be achieved by a sound mentality on the awareness that accidents or incidents are caused. Before you leave home be sure all your electrical appliances except your refrigerator which is dedicated to a circuit breaker, is turned off. Also turn off your stoves and other potential sources of energy.

On the other hand, be sure your smoke or heat detector are working. This can be tested from your vendor monthly, in the same e way to have an ABC fire extinguisher on board. Effective housekeeping using the Japanese "5S" methods will erradicate fire hazards.

Please do not overload your electrical circuits especially using octopus connections, you are a candidate for fire.  I assume you are a non-smoker; but should a smoker insists, its up tp you to control that ugly habit before you're a side tracked candidate for Emphizema of the Lungs.

summary: Fire has three legs forming an imaginary triangle. Take away the source of heat which are uncontrolled energy sources (overloaded electrical circuits, space heaters, electric fans, electric irons, and excessive lighting) gives no fire.

Take away the  fuel such as those ugly fire hazards e.g. plastics, papers, kitchen oil, shellane LPGs leaves no fire.

Take away Oxygen sources by applying proper ventillation leaves no fire.

So fire prevention and safety is more of a personality matter since all in safety and health boils down to behavioral factors. Get rid of those risky human behaviors and you will be safe.

From recent study, it is found that faults in electrical system are one of main cause of fire at home. So ensure proper electrical equipments are installed according to the design specification.i.e Proper CB, Fuse, wiring with rated cable which is fireproof etc. Never use receptacles for fixed wiring or overload the power point with excess load.Install & Keep your kitchen window open while no operation there.Install fire/smoke detector at home though prevention is better than protection system. Small fire extinguisher, fire blanket will help incase of fire emergency.

Did you know that if a fire starts in your home you may have as little as two minutes to escape? During a fire, an early warning from a working smoke alarm plus a fire escape plan that has been practiced regularly can save lives.

on my opinion all electricals wires and dives must be addressed, So, you can identify where to cut the electricity source
