the customer always right but not in all the cases because the customer does not know the company more than the employee does but politely we can make the customer feels that he is allways right

It is not correct that the customer is always right because the customer is not an expert.

You and your employees are the actual experts but that doesn't mean you shouldn't still treat customers with utmost respect and care even when they are mostly wrong.

 

My experience of working for large multi-national Corporations is that they tend to profess that they embrace the principle of customer sovereignty but more often than not in practice this is a palliative, they pay “lip service” to the principle. I have known occasions where a standard product line item has been proposed as an exact “fit” for a customer’s requirement, when in fact the supplier has missed a number of the critical prerequisites embodied within the customer’s ITT. Having said that we approach organisations because they have the expertise to provide products or services that we simply don’t have. If we had all the expertise to cure our medical ailments we would not approach a physician or if we had the ability to design and build a aircraft then manufacturers would go out of business. It is when we specify our needs and desires that we rely upon suppliers to employ their expertise to meet our exact requirements. We have recourse against them if they fail to perform in accordance with our wishes. In this regard the customer is right and the supplier must work to the precise requirements of the specification.

 

“Caveat Emptor” – Remember that where we have specified our exact requirements and the supplier meets them, we can’t then blame the supplier where we have mis-stated our needs. There have been many occasions in the past where a buyer has been “hoist by his own petard” by being unaware of the implications of his statement of requirements. A good supplier will use his expertise to guide, cajole and advise buyer’s who, although acting in good faith, don’t really know exactly what they want.

 

Yes the client is right (sometimes).

 

I believe that NO. This attitude was made to always gain a client. But what we can see nowadays is that cletns vary in taste, opinions, and choices. I beleive that it is up to you to target the right clients for your services, or products and then the client is always right.

e.g. check how many mobile brands, and how many versions if compared they may look% the same and they are all sold what varies is the price..
