Blade server houses multiple modules or Blades in a single framework; it is a self-contained server which collectively fits into an enclosure with other blades. The chassis or enclosure provides the power supply, cooling and connectivity to each blade server within that enclosure. Blade server contain their CPU, memory and hard disk for their core processing needs, moreover generally they provide a management system and may include a network or storage switch as well.
