What is stationary phase in chromatography and mobile phase?

Liquid phase I the mobile phase and solid phase is the stationary phase

Mobile phase which flows on other phase having affinity for the material of interest while stationary phase is on which material of interest i.e sample is present,helps in separation by staying on its place

stationary phase is paper in case of paper chromatography

and solid in case of gas  and liquid chromatography

Stationary phase: Substance that keep attached over it or maintain in its bulk other chemicals by it s affinity to it, it does not move with a passing fluid through it..
