Liquid phase I the mobile phase and solid phase is the stationary phase

Mobile phase which flows on other phase having affinity for the material of interest while stationary phase is on which material of interest i.e sample is present,helps in separation by staying on its place

and solid in case of gas  and liquid chromatography
