Normal Phase Chromatography

Stationary Phase : Polar

Mobile Phase: Non-Polar

order of elution- Non-Polar to Polar

Reverse Phase Chromatography:

Stationary Phase : Non-Polar

Mobile Phase: Polar

order of elution- Polar to Non-Polar

Why in normal stationary phase the principle of separation is mainly adsorption while in reversed phase it's partition ?
