there is a small difference between hard work & smart work,  professional employers always prefer smart work, but they also like hard work, employer with less education or inherited employer don't like smart work, the other difference is smart work is done by mind in less time but the hard work is done by lot of efforts in more time

In these days, we hear a lot of talk about working smart. People often tell us, “You don’t get anywhere by sheer hard work. Look at the people working at construction sites. They are working very hard, but are they getting anywhere in life? If you want to achieve success, you need to work smart.” Such comments leave most of us in a confusion. What happened to the sayings like, “Work hard and the success will be yours. ”

Hard work is the building block for the smart work.

To do smart work one should have sound knowledge of the subject. This knowledge can be achieved only through hard work.

I believe that hard work is always productive – perhaps not in a short run. Rewards come to you when you are not looking for them continuously. When you step out to work with a passion to do your best, you will bring out the best in the others as well! That itself is a great reward. Actually hard work and smart work go hand in hand for us to be successful. Smart work is about making right strategy. Smart work always saves our time which is an important aspect. Through smart work we can achieve your goals faster.

Hard work doesn’t need mental ability. Conversely a smart worker uses his brain to make the work easier.

As a conclusion I can say that smart work is very important in today’s fast paced life. But to achieve that stage one should do hard work in the background.

Smart people realize that smart work needs to be controlled as much as possible, that's why smart people work as business people and managers. If you have control, you can do things your own way, and if you are a smart worker you will be sure that your style is correct and because you have prepared yourself, you have created a great step forward more than others on the same path and remember: - Leaders establish franchise companies, and do not join them. - Leaders sell privileges, and do not buy them. - Leaders present and do not join integration programs. - Leaders manage reserve deposits, and do not invest in them. - Leaders sell shares and do not buy them. - Leaders display marketing or direct selling, and do not use it. - Leaders offer employment, and do not employ

I think one should work hard but smartly. One should plan ( smart work), but one should plan in minute details ( hard work).
