Emotional intelligence (sometimes abbreviated as EQ) is a poorly-defined and controversial thing.  However, it can be a useful way of understanding certain aspects of life, including the workplace.

People with high emotional intelligence are good at noticing and interpreting the emotions of others.  One example is timing a request: if you want somebody in the workplace to do something for you, a person with high EQ is more likely to choose a moment with the person is receptive to that request, and consequently more likely to obtain agreement.  Or put it another way - if you want somebody to do you a favour, don't ask them when they are in a bad mood.

Emotional Intelligence is related with employees work...

its mean that how much a person have control on his emotions to deal with specific situation

High EQ people have nothing to do with Inelegance and being smart..in the contrary.. they are smart on the sense of seeing opportunities more than others...Smart people the calculate and don't take the risk..That's why you seldom find a smart( Intelligent) rich person.... At least on my country .
