The most important role for documentation is keep up to date records,

Divide work as categorie with your self and junior staff

The documentation team is responsible for all "cross-cutting" documents that cover several projects, as well as tutorial / technical evangelism materials.

Examples of such documents are as follows.

Tasks related to those documents are managed inside the "documentation" JIRA module. Developers are welcome to raise issues there if you see errors and/or coverage gaps in existing documents.

Overall server guide

Trail maps (interactive tutorials)

Sample applications

Books and articles

The "what's new" guide

The "best practice" guide

etc.

Depends, if I am blessed with a team then it will be a collaborative effort / team work & if I am the only person responsible to manage my area then of course it is myself.

If I trust with my team I will depend with them  if not I depend on my self to update all document , or I give them some tasks and make audit in final day.
