Though most people think secretary and administrative assistant are the same, they are actually two different jobs. A secretary is purely clerical work whilst an  administrative assistant can make decisions and are even delegated or entrusted to handle some projects. An administrative assistant arranges meetings and conferences, manages his superior's calendar, and may review and filter memos, reports and the like.
