Definitely before the production is taking place, in order to be able to see people reactions, and to be able to change or to adjust as per people needs.

Before production:

the feed back we will get from the potential clients thoes we will be targeting & approaching will help adjusting the production accordingly

introducing a new product in the market comes up with large risks of a product getting failed and as well the capital invested on it. so its better to start marketing research related to the product and then pre set the positioning of the product and as per the demand a producer must produce the product. And as a keen and subtke point i would say that to prosper and accumulate the product market 4ps are much essential and they are product, place ,price and promotion.

thanks.

You shoukd have the product so you do the necessary consumer research and financial assessment before you build your marketing plan . A marketing plan is based on a business plan that should take product impact on the financials and that can only be done by the above.

If its a plan for introducing a new product, defenitly we need to have a market survey for that product, We do survey campign in order to understand feed back from the trade and consumers.

Secondly if a product is added to your protfolio, defenity we need to do marketing campaign while launching it to the mareet.

it can be done by following.

1 Tasting Campaign

2 Product promotions

The market must first be studied before producing the product, reading the competition, and the consumer's needs. The tacit stage comes with the decision to produce the product, create a suitable market for it and compete with other quality and advertising means and develop strategic plans for the marketing team.

From my experience marketing should be part of the product development conversations, so I would definitely say before. Market research should definitely be conducted, and clients and prospects consulted on needs and requirements.

When it comes to launching the product to market, the marketing efforts should start 2 - 3 months before launch. There should be teaser campaigns, testers to provide feedback and reviews of the product. This can all be done off a prototype.

Where I have seen the greatest product launch successes is where marketing is involved from the very beginning and has a seat at the table.

My Answer is Before starting production.

and there are may parameters to evaluate before planning production as per new findings, Because technology is changing and new pridction techinque are emerged .So if you are not able to analyse before production plan your product will not a sucess in the Market.

Before the launch of a new product to the market, you have to realize marketing research, you need to know if your product answer to the customer needs.
