Site has a much information about teaching English abroad; links to hundreds of job databases of particular interest to teachers, college students, and liberal arts graduates. One recommended resource for anyone interested work as an English teacher abroad. We have many others elsewhere on the ESL section of our site. Goinglobal presents an overview of employment trends for the primary career opportunities in business professions in over30 different countries. They also sell country-specific resource guides in .pdf format that provide information about job possibilities not available for free. Idealist.org. The website claim of tens of thousands of organizations “under one roof” says it all. Excellent search provisions give useful results using “internship” or “volunteer.” Also has lists of volunteer, internship and job opportunities. Search possible by country, type of work, and many other variables. The “browse by country” section lists organizations according to their work focus. Site includes organizations worldwide, not only U.S.-based ones. International Jobs Center. The nonprofit organization publishes listings of international jobs via their publications: International Career Employment Opportunities (weekly) and International Employment Hotline. International Center: University of Michigan. A treasure-trove of resources for students seeking work abroad — as well as providing extensive study, living and travel abroad information. Jobs & Consultancies in International Development, NGO & Environment Sector. A subscription site offering many job postings. LatPro.com. A site for bilingual Americans or Latin Americans seeking work in the U.S. or abroad. Monster. A database site that lists jobs, largely corporate or professional, by international locations. The excellent website by Jean-Marc Hachey is a resource for all information on planning an international career, including expert advice and first-hand accounts, as well as tools such as international IQ tests to help you realize what you know and do not know about what is required to successfully live and work abroad. OverseasJobs.com. Provides employers access to a wide, targeted audience of job seekers. As a niche on-line job board the mission is to provide an easy to use, simple forum whereemployers and job seekers can connect with one another. The site offersemployment opportunities for experienced professionals, contractorsand expatriates looking to expand their horizons through work abroad and an international career. Peace Corps Career Track. Even if you’re not interested in the Peace Corps, this website has lots of information about international work and careers. The Riley Guide. Offers resources for international job opportunities, business career options, and a living and working guide. United Nations Careers: Young Professionals Programme. Offers exams which open up professional and language positions to highly qualified individuals within the U.N. The U.S. Department of State. Rarely it works! You wont get a job thru portal unless u have reference or recomendation!
