How do hotels de-ionize smoker hotel-rooms?

There is nothing that will give a newly arrived hotel guest a bad impression like a room which smells musty or otherwise has an unwanted odor. The guest will wonder if the room has actually been cleaned. It might even tarnish the hotel's hard earned reputation.

Well, there are a couple of methods. Turning a smoking room back into a non-smoking room can be quiet costly. 

Either way, the rooms of hotels consist of air filters that filter the air automatically. If a guest has accidentally smoked in a non smoking room then the filters may do the job with no hassle.

However, if a smoking room needs to be reverted to a non smoking room, there are a number of ways to do this.

Depending on how long this room has remained a smoking room, replacing the interior with new or washed interior will help. The smoking residue can be quiet strong and there fore scrubbing of walls, ceilings, carpets etc perhaps can help.

It's a procedure that will take time and also be expensive, but, hey, who doesn't want to invest on a non-smoking environment. :-)
