I am working in Gulf, not in Dubai, and i can tell you that the local people are very receptive, and positive approach.
In most of the Gulf countries, expat people are more than local people, especially in work, its a multicultural environment., where you will find in same time, more than3 nationalities working together and giving great results.
I guess it is up to anyone how it will be seen and received and treated.
Respect and you will be respected...Good luck !

yes, they are used to it.

Change Dubai for other country and make the question to yourself.
I'm sure you will find the answer.
If you treat people with respect and consideration you shouldn't have any trouble.
If you have been hired as a Manager is because they consider you an intelligent and experienced person.
You will have to show you deserve your job and salary.
I think is the same everywhere.
