Both are reservation systems and offering lots of the same services, but Amadeus is much more accurate, detailed and informative for both travel agency and airline company

Of course Galileo is not the perfect solution for hosting the airlines  , it is purely for travel agents, and loses some of the benefits that come from agents and airlines which sharing the same systemSo Amadeus is suitable for both Airlines and Agencies while Galileo for travel agencies only

Amadeus wins at the end:)

My own experience: Mercator is more useful than Amadeus in Airlines

i've been working with both

i've been working with both saber and amadeus but galileo i've never tried from my opinion i will say that amadeus will be the better since almost every airline is using it and some of them have moved towards sabre

sabre is the ideal alternative for amadeus if you can't have the both of them on your system, yet sometimes amadeus is more accurate when it comes to find a last seat on an airplane
