In my idea one of the greatests cost is the time that you should spend in order to getting familiar with fundamentals of PMBOK . Not only should you study to hard but also you must pay meticulous attention to the exam's tricky questions. in the end I should say : the more you study, the more you will successful.

Other than PMP exam cost, In order to become a PMP, first one needs to have at least 5 years work experience in any area of project management groups: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and Closing. Then, one needs to take at least 40 hours from any PMI certified provider either online/offline training course to be eligible to take the exam as a PMI requirement task, then one needs to buy a PMP exam materials. I would suggest to visit RMC project at www.rmcproject.com for more information about how to study and prepare for the PMP exam. Finally, after becoming a PMP, one needs definitely to take at least 60 PDU's for 3 years to be able to recertify, otherwise, he/she needs to retake the exam again.
