When the insurance company handling large claim may appoint loss adjuster to examine the causes of loss or damage and to consider the claim under the terms and conditions of the insurance policy .

After the investigation has been conducted , the loss adjuster makes recommendation as to weather the claim should be settled or rejected .

The loss adjuster must negotiate a settlement directly with the insured ( policy holder ) and accordingly submit the necessary survey report to the insurance company .

In practice it is very common that the insurance company and the insured ( the policy holder ) accept and follow the the loss adjuster's recommendation for completion of the claim and reaching to a final settlement.

Regards .
