It is easy to not take the blame and put it on others even when you are at fault, especially if there might be consequences. Although that is human nature to some extent, it is important to incorporate criticism in a positive manner, since it is just another effort for growth. You can only correct yourself when you know where you went wrong. The mistakes must be addressed correctly, so any chance of them being repeated is discouraged. Blaming others helps one feel better about themselves, but really, one can be forgiven for taking accountability and working hard to improve, yet someone who is continuously wrong but is in denial, will most likely face worse consequences.
