In my opinion both plays vital role at their own position if u have good education u can flourish in your job through which u can get good experience.
if u have experience but no education then u cant get up to the mark or acquire the position which you can get with the help of your qualification which plays important role in your life general.

Yes I agree that,"Work experience is more important than qualification".
But without qualification any work experience could not be earned completely. To become a fully experienced person there is a pre-requisite of proper qualifications. So, these two criteria are co-related and depends upon each other.

I agree .working experience is good however basic education is also required

Work experience without relevant qualification is just an example of a blind, who has learned to do things.
But obviously he/she cannot be equivalent to the one having relevant qualification as well in general.

In an ideal world - Work experience would be the better option.
Industry today is ever changing.
It saves time for managers, co-workers and minimum training required.
It helps if people come from a starting point that is the same as is expected by industry.
There is quicker assimilation into a company and practices and procedures can continue with little or no disruptions.
As one gets older experience becomes more beneficial.
Experience also key regarding communication skills (soft skills) which are less teachable.
A person is either born with them or gains them on the job - so experience important.
In the real world - Unfortunately, employers tend to place more importance on qualifications than experience Qualifications get the job; experience to do the job.
Even in promotions the ones who have the relevant qualification more likely to get the promotion.
If employees do not have the right qualifications, the organisation will have to spend time and effort on training its staff in the correct way of working.
Most managers would rather spend time on adhoc training, training employees in only those areas that are unique to the business and business model.
Very few businesses/managers would want to waste time and money on providing generic training.
This means that qualifications carry far more weight in determining who gets recruited.
Depends on industry - some industries place more importance on experience than qualifications, as far more advantageous in knowing how to do a job.
Skills which are easily transferrable or easily applied.
Age - Qualifications important for young people starting off in their careers/job ladder.
Also for mature students or those changing career later on in life.
Qualification is important provided one can transfer what has been learnt into working life, into action.

Hi, Qualification is the one which can make you able to gain work-experience, but getting UP to the next level will ask a good qualification from you.
After gaining a sound work-experience you can retain your position but getting promoted to next level/designation will ultimately requires higher qualification.
There are certain jobs in the service department or in the IT field where certifications often comes as useful tool.

I think it depends on the type of work.
Most manual work, I would say experienced would matter a lot.
Employers would not bother checking for you educational qualifications like if you know how to paint well plus you have the experienced then I think you're in.
Some manual work would require more.
You need to have the theory and educational background to be a good auto mechanic.
You can fix machine parts but you need theory on liquids or gas if you are fixing hydrolics or air breaks of car...
A good combination would be, you educational qualification/background and related experienced!

In my point of view, both of views supportable because both of them have advantages and disadvantages.

Company’s success partially depends on employees who work there. Hiring right person for right job position is one of the main factors affecting to company’s future success. Therefore, companies should pay more attention on hiring an employee who is most suitable for the position.

Selection process of hiring an employee depends on several candidate-related factors. Some people argue that an academic qualification of job candidate is more important than its personal life experience and values, while others oppose to this idea.

In many job position the academic knowledge person gained through his education is the fundament of his future working and pursuing knowledge. conclusion, academic qualification, personal experience and values of job candidate are main factors for making decision in hiring employee. Therefore, when hiring an employee, making decision based only one of these factors might be imperfect solution for some kind of job position.
