In marketing, the word "tangible" refers to things that are physical, that is, items that can be touched, seen, heard or smelled. Tangible marketing is the use of promotional items to contribute to brand recognition and customer loyalty. Gifts and freebies should be approached with a defined strategy in order to create the highest impact for your marketing dollars.

Purpose of Tangible Marketing

Tangible marketing gives your customers a concrete object to hold in their hands. This engages the senses and makes your brand more memorable, something that can be especially difficult in service-based industries and those whose product isn't a box on a shelf. In addition, tangible marketing products build customer loyalty because it lets your clients know you have their needs on your mind and appreciate their business. Of course, tangible marketing has a more subtle purpose as well. By placing a branded item in your customer's hands, you put your company on their minds, and they'll have all your contact information easily accessible -- much more interesting and meaningful than simply exchanging business cards.

Tangible means something which you can feel. So when somebody says tangible advertising it means product is being promoted where you can feel, touch and experience it before making a purchase decision. This gives customer experential feel of product.

I believe we can introduce tangibility in services advertising by introducing them to service and giving them an experience before they start using the service.

Tangible advertising is a promotional  tool to attract customers for creation of  brand recognition and customer loyalty. Advertising is an operating expense , and according to my studies and experience can never be an intangible asset , as Tangible means capable of being touched. Its sources are media outlets as television, Internet, radio, newspapers and so many others.

Thank you for some wonderful answers.

Tangible Advertising: is the type of advertising method which involves carrying out the actual promotion or advertising involving products which will be in physical form with the potential customer.

It could be anything from the branded bracelet, tag, cap, coffee mug, sleeves, Car rear end display, sleeves etc

It should be planned Out of the box, which customer like "Keeping them with" or 'Wearing it', it could be even simple things like  Car Keys, thumb ring (Brand logo) & this type of advertising helps to build 'Brand image', customer associations, branding or spreading the intended message.
