Complex Instruction Set Computers (CISC) have a complex ISA (instruction set architecture) which include more than 4 types of addressing modes and a huge list of instructions which usually take more than one clock cycle to execute

Eg, Intel 80XX, Motorola 68XXXX

Reduced Instruction Set Computers (RISC) have less than 4 addressing modes and very few instructions and many of RISC instructions requires less than one clock cycle to execute

Eg ARM processors, IBM and Alpha

Hi..

In RISC architecture the no of instruction set is less comparing to the CISC architecture. No of registers in RISC is larger than CISC.
