Early age is crucial and it must be at this age the parents or school teacher aware of. Children are dependent on their environment. in developing their personality, behavior, as will as skills. They are keen observer and emitator. Therefore whatever they see and experience with grown and old around them without guidance of the parents even its wrong they perceive it's right. Only then that children will rely on themselves if they properly taught by their environment.
However, if I given a chance to help children, I would teach them first about the creator of everything (e.g. GOD), This, to let them know the beginning of life and from this point they will start to learn the important of life and respect to every creation. Putting it in their mind and heart they will understand their role in the environment. If its established, then values, intelligence of industry would be followed and gradually they will learn to become independent and if it's happened, they become a good citizen if they grown up.
