this totally depends of the level of their thinking and how they think,what they think about and what they really want which makes them think about it.

 

 I think it you should focus on what issues they face as a student and difficulties in over coming those issues.if you solve these issues or even give a direction to resolution then i think you will begin to gain value from them.

 

 You should try to be informative rather than trying to drill things into their brains,there should be a reason which is valid and has weight to support what you are teaching and informing about.
