Ups system is uninterruptable power supply it work with critical loads so when there is no electricity from mains it will start work immediately and don’t cut the power for specific time called backup time start from5 if you have generator you will not need more than this if you need more time we can add more battery the power range start from500 VA up to1 M VA the ups has different type depending on type of load

as said , UPS feed your load during mains failure, it consist of4 major parts, Rectifier which convert input AC power to DC power to supply inverter and battires, Inverter which will convert DC power supplied by the rectifer or battires to AC power , the batteries with their protection (fuses, CB) that are charged by the rectifire and feed inverters in mains failures, and the bypass which feed load directly from main only in case there is a proplem in rectifer, battries or inverter (for Online systems)
