What do you do if you're working in a place with your wife and your wife got a promotion director general?

wish her a good luck and urge her to work and progress provided that this does not affect the success of our home

I would continue to work in the same spirit. 

We should be able to understand professional life and personal life as two different things. If you are a true professional you would love doing your job and be successful in both your work and family. 

First of all you need to understand that you and your wife had the same opportunity to become director general. If she got a promotion you should understand that she has qualities and talent that overcome you to get a promotion. 

But once you do your work be professional and fulfill the requirements and at your family both of you should be able to understand your duties and respect to each other to have a good life.

It's very interesting to hear a honest answer from gentlemen here :) But I think it could only be answered by someone who ever met this condition.

That's hard mainly to men since some believe no woman is better than them but if this happens then that's success which has entered the house, it's a blessings which needs to be grabbed with two hands Obviously a man has to just accept because that's another financial step to them both

I will actually work normally like nothing happened. It is very important to separate professional life from personal life.

usually it creates bitterness in relationship if you start competing with your spouse; so be a source of strength for each other and do celebrate successes together.
