If one of your staff member or employee becomes injured at work place what immediate steps you will follow to help?

call security and they in turn will call ambulance and send him to the nearest hospital or clinic

Apply first aid and try to stabilize the employee while contacting the nearest hospital or emergency hot lines fr immediate response

Inform to admin department and send him hospital as soon as possible.

This depends on the kind of injury. If it is serious enough where professionals are needed then i will try with assistance of other colleagues to calm him down, make him rest, give him some space...At the same time calling of the ambulance to take him to hospital.

In case of minor injury, i will ask assistance of other colleagues to transfer him in my car to hospital. This takes place after informing the manager and putting him in the picture if he is not in the office.

In this case i would consider injuries in general.

Unconscious Victims

1. Dont panic

2. find out if the sorrounding is safe for you to rescue the victim. If not, ensure safety

3. If the sorrounding is safe, remove the victim from danger

4. start the Airway, Breathing and Circulation check called ABC

5. if ABC is absent, call the emergency team and start CPR if you were trained to do.

6. If ABC is present, position the victin in recovery position and call an ambulance.

7. If there is head or spine injuries do not position in recovery, leave the victim in spine and stay with him/her until you get help. Ensure the he is breathing.

 

Conscious Victims

1. Ensure safety

2. Remain calm

3. If there's bleeding apply pressure with a clean and sterile gauze

4. Arrange to take the victim to hospital for further management.

5. If there is a fracture, immobilise the limb. Fracture ribs, call for emergency.

Asses first, If its safe for you to apply first aid then proceed, if you think it's not safe to perform first aid then call for help.(911)

Secure the place, examine what type of injuries? Call for help, If possible fracture, immobilize the certain extremities or part of the body. Then send the pt to hospital for further mgt. If Burn / hit by certain object there's other way to manage it. :)

Secure the area first. then assess the severity and nature of injury, if available resources are enough for you to perform first aid and the case is not emergency then proceed, but if the case needs more advance equipment and emergency assistance then call first for emergency help.
