yes of course, sales man is100% talking more than writing. Look at the sales men in the streets; they are not writing but talking to sell their goods.

I have no problem to hire him because writing is not the primary skill for a sales person to succeed. If the person is good at handling customers, negotiation, and good at convincing people orally it is good enough. These are the key skills for people in sales.. No one writes infront of client/customers. If he/she has poor writing skills, someone else can help him to do that...

In born traits are there in a Salesman.  Some miracle works on him. These are all happens but ones in a while.  A salesman must have the capacity to understand the things well, explain the same to his customers on need basis in a convincing and effective manner, so that the intention of the client is fully understood.  If literacy skills are not required to have a fair understanding of the product, no problem in selecting a sales man of any choice provided all other general qualities vested on him. Writing skill add to his Salesmanship qualities, and the requirement varies the field in which he is working with.

Yes, I would and ignite his/her potential to be used appropriately. At the same time shall encourage for overcoming the short falls.

There is something we called digital management.. or digital office.. there is no need for good writing..so if he is a good writer, i mean that's okay.. but if he isn't in that case surely ask him if he is good with tablet tools..

Yes I will hire the person. Sales person is more on talking, not in writing. We can always train people anyways, what's the use of Human Resources trainings, right?
