In my opinion, the situation matters.  If the scenario take place on street then definitely  I will run and help him to get up.  But if any of my team member fails to achieve his goal or lacking in managing his schedule then I would prefer to instruct him, how he can achieve his goal or well manage his schedule. Since In first situation, mostly it will not be repetitive event, but in second case if you will keep on running for every issue instead of instructing him, the person will never learn to improve himself. Also, our instant help make him cripple instead of encouraging him how to dealt with such situations which will ultimately increase our work load.

It depends on the status which he / she face it , if its Urgent and can't be wait then i MUST run and help anybody but also make sure its security meaning if i help him / her may be i will fall down in critical status as well.

And if its not Urgent then the best is to let him / her show the way of solve as i will not be beside him / her all the time to help.
