What are the challenges that trainer can face in conducting and delivering a training, and How to manage them?

Mostly, if you are passionate about training, you would enjoy the challenges that comes your way, coz, every challenge is a learning opportunity for you. 

Here is a small list of challenges faced by majority of trainers, however, the list goes on... 

1. A group of highly experienced professionals

Solution: Understand the pulse of the crowd and start engaging them at their level

2. Participants who are more knowledgeable than the trainer on the subject/ topic

Solution: Make sure you have adequate knowledge on the topic before you take up a session 

3. A non receptive group of participants

Understand the group, bring in more icebreakers, get them involved slowly, don't be in a hurry to rush your content. Build a relationship before you execute your task.

4. Distracted youngsters (Phone and Surroundings etc.)

The best way to handle this challenge is to make such people the leader of their group and give them more responsibilities to own.

5. The Group's expectations vs the content delivered

Understand the expectations, list them down on the whiteboard, strike off the ones that you would not be covering during your session. Set the context and the expectations right at the start of the training. 

6. Trainers expertise

Its a vital element in Training. if you don't have the expertise in content and in delivery, then you don't have the confidence to conduct the training. A session delivered without confidence gains no purpose. So be sure to equip yourself with the right content, knowledge and delivery skills.
