Will machines reach human levels of translation quality by the year 2030?

My experience is that the human complicated behaviours and feelings will never be understood by a machine.

 

Someone says: "Machines cannot cope with the vast variety of differences between people." This is true; I can add: They (machines) even do not differentiate between a male or female person! They can translate (she or he) to mean a tree!

 

My opinion remains, a translator is the main dominant of the translated piece. No machine could execute a perfect translation, but it can help in producing a good draft that a translator can develop it.

 

Anyhow I keep focusing on the issue, believing it could present a challenge to the translator. It is part of the struggle between man and machine!

Every thing is possible in this era of technology but we can't mention a specific time for this development. It might be possible by the year2030 or it may take200 years more.
