As a writer, what do you want or expect from a publisher or literary agent?

You should communicate with your publisher on a regular basis; they do have constraints that you must understand, and you do have requirements that you should make clear. You probably will have to compromise, so set your priorities of what you realy need (rather than want) and try to see the big picture.

Of course, I would want to get my work see print.
