What is ALT Tag?

ALT Tag is alternate text  for Image. It is Show befor the image Show.

Exm. < img alt="This is the image description (ALT TAG)" src="webopedia.jpg" >

alt tag or (alternative text) is the text will pop up when you put your mouse (without clicking) over an image on a web page. Also it is what you are going to read instead of the image if you disabled the images on your browser or the page didn't load completely.
