Organic fertilizers are fertilizers produced from residues, fresh or rotten or even highly decomposed plant or animal origin, while inorganic fertilizers are synthesyzed by chemical or chemo-mechanical processes to supply one or more essential plant nutrient elements. Though "Urea" fertilizer is usually called inorganic fertilizer, but myself have termed this "Urea" as synthetic organic fertilizer (in my MS theses dissertation in1987, CLSU, Philippines) as the compound contains Carbon (C) in its chemical composition.
