Generally, speech is more easier than writing, we generally learn to speak first before we learn to write. Writing involves conventions of grammar and syntax order, which, even most advance speakers no longer or do not use in regular speech, formal or informal.

The added ability needed to proofread also, is testament to writing being more difficult than speech. However, in some instances where people suffer from a speech impediment, it is easeir for them to write than speak, due to circumstances, where they learn writing forms of communication as a necessity..

it depends on you samar... some people are more comfortable with writing, it helps them think better, organize their thoughts or say things they have no courage to say out loud... But remember that not everyone is comfortable with reading so if you're passing a message think of the receiver is he/she better approached face to face, by phone, or through an sms/email etc...

As an American Arab i speak English and Arabic Fleuntly, and as a writing proffesional i think writing and speaking go hand in hand.

Regarding your question, in my case i think writing is harder than speaking, because writing in general wether it is business writing, or creative writing requires a great deal of research, information, planning, and creativity.

Personally speaking, I find writing tougher than it appears to be compared to speaking. Because speaking only requires you to think what you ought to express, whereas writing requires both mental and physical effort to put your thoughts in writing thus sometimes slow down the amount of words and ideas your about to say.

Iman, I think that is an excellent answer. For me personally there is very little difference although writing allows more time to pause for thought and correcting mistakes. Speaking generally just gives you the one chance and dependent on the subject can be more emotive sometimes detrimentally so!!
