When it is your responsibility to organize and plan a project, what steps do you take?

I go to the drawing and draw an elaborate flow-chart of the various stages and processes involved. This gives me an idea of the project timeline and also about any possible flaws pre-emptively and i get my team together and discuss it with them. Then i designate duties and delegate responsibilities and execute the plan.
