In Engineering Industry Document Controller should be engineering back ground / qualification or no need of it?

In my openion NO. And haveing an engineering back ground/qualification will support him but not necessaroy to having engineering back ground/qualification.

the more important from qualification  is the sense of engineering, it is a must

It will surely support you to have an engineering background if you are working as a document controller in any Engineering industry. If not Engineering then you must atleast be science graduate with computer skills at their best.
